#677, 8:01 AM. Some objects found at the swap meet included a ceramic dog and a celebrity action figure. I thought that this was a touch of bizarre nostalgia. All of it was digital manipulation through the iPad.

3:04 PM, Los Angeles, CA. Sorry about the blurry snapshot. The book is by Daido Moriyama and the title is “Tales of Tono”. The book features his high contrast, black and white photos shot in a Japanese countryside. I like his approach of seeking the unexpected image from the commonplace and mundane. It shows that there is a world of interesting things that surround us and a little self-desensitizing to the banal is a good thing.
