9:33 PM, Altadena, CA. I’m still overhauling postcards. Anybody can recognize the architecture because it’s so distinctive. I would have to cover up 99% of it if I wanted to be coy about the whole thing. Looks better this way to me.
9:32 PM, Altadena, CA. I’m intrigued by the hidden like “What’s behind the door or what’s inside the package?” Half the fun is concealing something. So this postcard has been covered up but there is a little clue to what the scenario is about.
9:30 PM, Altadena, CA. I’m into the transforming mode. Most of us have postcards on hand and all of us have access to Post-its. I told myself to combine the two. In this case, the postcard image has been taken out of context by adding Post-its on top. I just have to love digital technology like compact point and shoot cameras. It allows me to record at will.
3:40 PM, Altadena, CA. It was a marriage made in heaven by bringing two disparate objects together in pure visual synchronicity. I liked the couple because their sizes and shapes had fit perfectly. It looked like this one was about “Cannibals Mexican Style”.

4:09 PM, Altadena, CA. A dog and her book? I love them even though this combination of disparate objects is in a “beta” stage.
8:09 AM, Altadena, CA. The picture behind the book is a breed of dog called a Shiba Inu. They are independent in temperament and can be described as having cat-like qualities. That means they are keen observers, fastidious self-groomers, and can appear to be disinterested to people. I’d recommend the breed for experienced dog owners who aren’t afraid to assert their dominance over a dog that will run roughshod over anything if it can. Mine is well behaved, finally.
1:00 PM, Altadena, CA. I did the oil painting in back of the book a long time ago when I was interested in conventional narratives using traditional media. The image was a howling dog. I’m looking at it now and a picture of a howling dog is better with a spy book on top of it.
1:05 PM, Altadena, CA. The oil painting in back of the book was in a show at the Irvine Fine Arts Center a long time ago. It was a straight ahead narrative using conventional media but had an unconventional title that offended the reviewer of the show. I wasn’t really surprised since it was shown in Orange County, California, a relatively conservative place.
