11:54 AM, Glendale, CA. Not a random snapshot but it looks like it. What’s important here is the falling sign in the background. It could be a subliminal message if you are planning to enroll.

8:28 AM, Dallas, TX. I’m surprised by the power of banality. Walking around downtown Dallas, I came across this image of the morning sunlight hitting a lone garbage bag. It was so beautiful that I returned the next day to take another picture but was disappointed because the sunlight was missing. I guess that the lighting worked for me and it was the thing that made a banal event so special in the first place.

1:13 PM, Pasadena, CA. I love making things out of paper. They’re not perfect and were never meant to be. They were meant to be humble in materials and straightforward in their construction. This one is about 3 feet tall and was staged with a spotlight behind him for dramatic effect.

10:41 AM, Altadena, CA. This is the cover of a zine that I made earlier this year. I wanted to do something in full color featuring my drawings of books. Even though zines are an unbelievably crowded market, I couldn’t resist contributing one more. “Wait wait there’s more!” I actually have more titles floating around.
