9:10AM, Altadena, CA. I’m fond of unusual visual narratives and especially the kind that are disruptive. This was a result of my combination of several disparate images all morphed into one. It occupies an area between analog and tech and is packaged with a glossy resin finish. I’ve made more.
3:00 PM, Altadena, CA. I love banal imagery and paper sculpture. This is what happened when the two came together with a little help from some additional acrylic paint.
10:41 AM, Altadena, CA. This is the cover of a zine that I made earlier this year. I wanted to do something in full color featuring my drawings of books. Even though zines are an unbelievably crowded market, I couldn’t resist contributing one more. “Wait wait there’s more!” I actually have more titles floating around.
#694, 4:36 PM. Dressed to kill. I like new things as well as vintage things and this robot has been updated with a brand new outfit and hair-do. Would I buy it? No, but it was fun to draw.
#693, 4:05 PM. Still walking around museums, I saw a display of Japanese feudal era protective gear. The combination of fighting outfits and formal business apparel makes a lot of sense to me. This is what a hedge fund manager fantasizes about when it comes to practical wardrobes. I personally like the mix of the old and the new but you wouldn’t find me wearing this even on Halloween.
#692, 3:26 PM. Walking around another museum in San Francisco, I came across a Japanese terra cotta figurine. I imagined what it would look like dressed up in black and white graphics. I looks good both ways.

#677, 8:01 AM. Some objects found at the swap meet included a ceramic dog and a celebrity action figure. I thought that this was a touch of bizarre nostalgia. All of it was digital manipulation through the iPad.
