The lucky cat is a common Japanese figurine that’s believed to bring good luck to the owner. Now, it’s popular with many Asians and not just the Japanese. That’s why a lot of Asian restaurants, businesses, and small entrepreneurs have them around because it’s hard to resist a cute cat anyway.

I’m experimenting with cropping banal snapshots that come up with interesting results. For me, it resembles a billboard but started as a tree, sidewalk, and pedestrians in front of a building located on a busy street. The street was lined with famous fashion houses and that accounted for the interesting architecture and storefronts in the first place.
